Guest Room Status has always been about recognizing that nothing stays the same forever. Though the band finds itself at home somewhere in the space between anthemic pop-punk and intimate midwest emo, they are constantly exploring the uneasy feeling of noticing your life is passing faster than you can figure out what to do with.
On their latest EP, “Eventually?” the four-piece outfit from Ottawa, Canada is no longer blindsided by change. Through a whirlwind of propulsive riffs, a frantically melodic rhythm section, and cathartically shoutable lyricism, the six song EP details the sharp awareness that a period of time is coming to an end.
